Events Together Winter 2006-7 newsletter - here it is!
Well, what a great summer we had. The weather was great (thanks or not to global warming!) The first season of events for Events Together went fantastically well too, with over 25 events run ranging from Sailing on the Solent to Skiing in Chamonix and a lot in between.
OK, so now we've hit the autumn, and winter's just around the corner and the Christmas party season's approaching at a staggering pace, but it's still a good time to take a break in the great outdoors. Maybe you're already thinking about skiing or what to line up for the spring and summer? But don't write off the winter months for outdoor action in the UK! In fact everyone who came on the Elan Valley Multi-Activity weekend a couple of weeks ago will attest it's still great fun to get out there even in November.
Christmas Caving Weekend
For the brave (and there are 8 of you booked so far) we'll be caving in the Yorkshire Dales the weekend before Christmas. So if there are any more takers.
Christmas Party
But as this is the party season we thought you should get along to a great London party and so Events Together has teamed up with Futuressquared for a fantastic night at the exclusive Teatro Club in Soho on the 8th December. I'll be there and it will be a great night out - and there's £10 off if you quote 'Events Together' For all of you based in London and the South East this should get you going for a day out in the Surrey Hills at the end of January. You'll probably want to walk off some of the Christmas turkey by then too! This is in partnership with Futuressquared and should be a great day out
Skiing and Boarding
Events Together have two skiing trips lined up for the coming 2006-7 season, both based in the spiritual home of Alpine sport at Chamonix, Mont Blanc.
We are going for a full week in January, as the April event this year proved so popular and was so successful. This will be at the stunning Chalet Tissieres - which is a beautiful traditional 15th century Savoyard Farmhouse which has been tastefully converted to the latest standards. All ski passes are included in the price as well as all transfers and in-resort transportation.
We'll also be running the same pre-Easter weekend this coming year too, back at the Hotel le Vert but with an extra day and night allowing you the opportunity to benefit from getting a return flight on Monday - and of course the chance to get extra time in out on the slopes.

Sailing Weekends
Multi-Activity
This has been so successful this summer that we have booked a Multi-Activity weekend in the beautiful Elan Valley in mid-Wales every month from April to September next year. This is the UK's only 5 star outdoor centre. The Elan Valley Lodge has exclusive access to 73 square miles of land including the reservoir, a forest, a mountain and its own climbing crags. All weekends are fully inclusive so all you need to do is turn up and everything else is taken care of - meals, equipment, en-suite bedrooms, instruction, and transport etc.etc. -More Info and Booking
Walking/Scrambling
We will be scheduling in more Walking weekends in the Lake District and Wales as well as days out around London from January throughout the year. Click back to the site for updates.
Mountain Biking
We are going to run a Mountain Biking weekend (or two) in the Lake District which will be open to beginner's and more experienced riders. We aim to make this a fun week on mixed terrain so there'll be something for all tastes and abilities! Check back on the website for updates.
Do let us know if you are up for a full on Caving, Climbing or Canoeing weekend. We will be very happy to schedule these if there's sufficient interest. Also if there's anything else you would really love to have a go at, but you don't see on the website, please get in touch.

Autumn 2006 Newsletter
Hi there,
Welcome to the Events Together Autumn update. Wow what a fantastic summer!
There's been a lot of gorgeous sunshine which has helped all our events go brilliantly well. But more importantly it's been the people that made the events so good on every occasion - that's you folks! Great groups on all events - bar none. Having been at most of the 15 or so events this spring and summer myself, this has been true for everyone that's come along too, whether it was out on the water, up in the hills or dangling from a piece of rope!
...So what, I hear you say, is the plan for the autumn and winter..?
- Well, as the Sailing has been so popular, for October I have set up two 5 day Competent Crew courses being run by one of my skippers. A full season of Solent sailing and powerboating weekends will start in April 2007 through to September, with at least two trips per month.We'll be giving it a go North of the border again too. The West Coast of Scotland is such a stunning place to go sailing - so give it a go next year! Go here to get yourself to the next stage on the water with an RYA accredited Competent Crew Course
- The Elan Valley Lodge Weekend was so successful there's another one set up for the 10th November and a full season booked already for 2007 - All those who came on the last one ...what about your reunion?..Let me know and let's set this up. Book here: Elan Valley Lodge Weekend
- The Lake District Walking Weekends have been a great success and there's another one booked for 11th November. Autumn is great time to walk as stable weather systems often prevail, giving clear sunny days for you to enjoy the stunning views and autumn colours. Book here: Lake District Walking weekends
- I have set up a pre-Christmas Caving Weekend in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. You'll be fully kitted out and warm as toast so don't worry about the time of year. In a stunning location with a superb pub nearby this will be a great introduction to caving and potholing and we already have several takers so ..Book here: Caving Weekend
- ...Last but certainly not least ...the skiing trips have now been set up I will be loading the Long weekend in Chamonix in the next couple of days. Following on from the success of last season's Chamonix trip, Events Together will be taking over Hotel le Vert for the pre-Easter weekend. The trip will be from Thursday night to Monday, giving better flexibility on flights this time.
- This year Events Together are offering a Week's Skiing in Chamonix in January. This is an all-inclusive package (except for flights as everyone comes from their preferred airport of course) at a stunning 15thC traditional (but fully modernised) Savoyard Chalet..Get booking now places will go quickly! New venue for our Multi Activity weekends
The UK's only 5 star rated activity centre at Elan Valley Lodge in mid-Wales has been selected as the venue for an awesome August activity weekend. The accommodation is situated in less well known but stunningly beautiful part of mid Wales, easily accessible from the South East, the Midlands, South Wales and the North West. This centre has been running for 20 years and during the week the team caters for organisations such as Microsoft, Lloyds-TSB and Kraft foods delivering top class hospitality and challenging outdoor activities. With exclusive access to their own Lake, Climbing crag and forests almost anything can be on the agenda - it depends what you're up for!

Here’s the second Events Together newsletter. Summer’s here and we’ve certainly had some great summer weather recently. Those of you who came on the recent Sailing Weekend on the Solent will agree that this is definitely one of the best ways to enjoy the glorious sunshine – being out there on the water. One of the crew even caught a mackerel for lunch!Everyone got on really well together as they did at our events in April and May.
