The Group
Events Together Caving weekends will involve you being part of a group of cavers (up to 20 in the group) who will get as much fun out of being together as a group as being in the cave. You will get to know the other participants by helping each other through obstacles, sharing the wonder of a passage's beauty or just having a good sporting trip.
We will aim to show you a taste of some of the many aspects of caving that attract many people, such as the exploration of new caves, SRT(Single Rope Technique) climbing, photography, the geology and biology of the subterranean world as well as the physical challenges of manoeuvring through underground passageways. Above all (or should that be below all) you’ll be in great company and have a great time - together!
When you go caving with Events Together we take your comfort and safety very seriously so you won’t be exploring a particular cave system for the first time, but we believe that it will be wonderful exploration on a personal level if you have not caved before or not been in that particular system.
We want to make the event as enjoyable as possible for you and as well as thinking about your safety we will be thinking about your comfort and so will be using the latest clothing and equipment to ensure you will be as warm and dry underground as the environment permits. Please bear in mind that you may feel a little chilly at times and you may get quite wet in some caves, but we think you’ll quickly realise that this is all part of the fun.
Medical Conditions - If you are aware of any pre-existing medical conditions you have which may affect your ability to take part in any of the events provided by Events Together, you must make us aware of these when you book. Personal Insurance
Whilst it is not pre-requisite to taking part in any of our activity weekends, Events Together Limited recommends that its clients take out their own personal accident insurance. You may also wish to consider specific cover for any valuable equipment. Events Together recommends specialist cover from the British Mountaineering Council
